 The definition of rubber used in the world is quoted from the national standard definition of the United States as follows: Rubber is a material that can quickly and powerfully recover under large deformation and can be modified (vulcanized). The modified rubber is substantially insoluble in (but soluble in) boiling mixtures of benzene, methyl ethyl ketone, ethanol and toluene. The modified rubber is stretched to twice of the original length at room temperature (18~29°C) after kept for one minute to remove the external force. It can be restored to 1.5 times the original length within one minute. The material with the above characteristics is called rubber. Rubber is a kind of material, with specific performance and processing properties, which is an organic polymer material, it has high elasticity at room temperature. The so-called rubber can be modified refers to that it can be vulcanized, the modified rubber is vulcanized rubber does not dissolve but can swell.

Cleanroom Knitted Polyester Swabs

 Polyester swabs are ideal for applications requiring extreme cleanliness and durability. Cleanroom swabs are manufactured from 100% polyester cleanroom fabric with exceptionally low levels of residue and particles.

The new swabs are available with a choice of knitted or non-woven 100% polyester heads, plus some micro-fiber and non-woven options. The swab heads are ultrasonically sealed and attached, and generally comprise of two layers of laundered polyester fabric.

The double-layer knit polyester is excellent for contamination removal and due to the materials good chemical resistance they can be used with aggressive solvents. The swabs handles are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene and are suitable for both dry and steam autoclaving.

Why Can't the Temperature Be Too High When Curing

 With the increase of room temperature vulcanization materials and the appearance of high temperature vulcanization, the vulcanization temperature tends to two extremes. From the improvement of curing efficiency, it should be considered that the higher the curing temperature, the better. But in fact we can not infinitely increase the curing temperature.

Rubber is a high polymer, high temperature will lead to cracking reaction in the rubber molecular chain, resulting in cross linking bond fracture, that is, the phenomenon of "vulcanization back to the original", so that the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber decline. For example, when natural rubber is vulcanized under high temperature, the oxygen dissolved in rubber increases its activity with the increase of temperature, causing strong oxidation, destroying the structure of rubber and reducing the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber.
